Q: Is the OpenIDS kernel also modified?
A: No it's the generic kernel that the version of OpenBSD with which OpenIDS was shipped.
Q: Can I apply the official OpenBSD patches to OpenIDS?
A: Yes, you can and should apply patches listed at: www.openbsd.org/errata.html.
Q: I would like to contribute to the project, how do I do that?
A: You are more then welcome to contribute to the project, either you implement something that you think will fit into OpenIDS or you pick one of the following tasks:
*Translate the Installation manual to your language.
Whatever you choose to do, please let me know so that I can keep track of who is doing what.
Q: Does OpenIDS support other architectures other then i386?
A: No, not right now anyway, but if there is a demand for other architectures it could be done.
