What is OpenIDS?
OpenIDS it is an OpenBSD based distribution with Snort, an Open Source IDS (Intrusion Detection System).
Over time OpenIDS has evolved from an IDS solution to a more complete Networks Security Monitoring(NSM) solution(IDS alert data, Flow data, Passive detection, Full content data collection)
It gives you the flexibility and the right tools to help you monitor your network 24/7, so please download a copy and fill up your coffee cup, you are in for a long night...
The installation part will not take long it is the things you discover that will keep you up all night ;)
